Commenting on today’s study into obesity, calling for more government intervention, Shane Frith, Director of classical liberal think tank Progressive Vision said: “Your weight is your responsibility, not the government’s. Encouraging a society in which people believe the government is responsible for how much they weigh is a recipe for people taking less care of themselves, not more. Individual empowerment and private sector innovation are the best ways of tackling obesity – not involving politicians in yet another area of our lives"
